"A process of letting go, getting lost, and finding a new way back."

The Minneapolis producer presents his debut solo instrumental album after 20+ years of honing his craft through his hip-hop group Big Quarters, mentoring young artists in the Twin Cities, developing into a respected engineer himself, while still producing behind the scenes (I Self Devine, Lady Midnight, 26 Bats!, Homeboy Sandman, Mankwe Ndosi, Javier Santiago, Kara Walker, Resmaa Menakem, & The Minneapolis Institute of Art).

In 2016, he started #Beatstory - a weekly video series where he made something new on the spot, and broke his process down, clip by clip on social media. This was a creative awakening, and allowed Zach to stockpile music, reach new people, and imagine how it might all come together into an album one day. 5 years later - it finally has.

Beyond listening to the record, you can also read "The Liner Notes", a chapter about each song, detailing out the process, and adding some context to what was happening in Zach's life, as there were some big changes in it while the album was getting made.
